Planta-la was founded in 2023 by Yessica Delgado to provide an immersive showroom to experience the intricate beauty of hydroponic plants. Hydroponic plants are plants that are cultivated to live in water, without soil, exposing their intricate network of roots to the world. The resulting pieces of unique, living works of art are beautiful and suitable for any environment such as weddings, corporate offices and personal homes.

Yessica had previously worked in the flower industry and was shocked to discover how many flowers are routinely mutilated and ultimately destroyed. There had to be a better way to showcase nature’s beautiful creations while creating an environment for the art to be recycled and reused, ultimately offsetting the effects of global warming.
Our long term goal for Planta-la is to create a non-profit organization that creates a sustainable ecosystem for plants that are discarded to be rehabilitated and re-deployed to new environments. This self-sustaining ecosystem promises to enhance plants well-being, reduce waste and promote a healthy balance between plants and humans.

Our plants are meticulously sourced, cultivated and presented in a way that aligns with Planta-la’s mission. Just like humans, plants are ultimately individual organisms where no one plant is the same as another. This creates an environment that allows us to treat them as individual pieces of art that are hard if not impossible to replicate. Similar to our plants, our vases are carefully sourced and selected based on how the vase best highlights the two parts of a plant’s existence (under and over ground).
